Pharmacists without Borders Denmark (PwB-DK) is a Danish humanitarian organisation with the objective to promote health in developing countries by working with projects relating to medicine and drug use.
Medicine and drugs are essential in both modern and traditional healthcare systems. In order to establish a foundation for good health conditions, it is important that knowledge about safe and effective drug use is in focus. Furthermore, improved health in a long-term perspective requires rational drug use.
The work of PwB-DK aims to ensure a better use of drugs in developing countries. We run development projects focusing on public awareness, education and capacity build-up at local pharmacies. We continuously send out health professional volunteers, mostly pharmacists and pharmacy students, to our projects in Tanzania, Ghana and Sierra Leone.
