Pharmacists without Borders DK aims to promote health in developing countries through safe use of medicine.
- We run development projects focusing on drug use, awareness and education.
- We improve handling and use of medicine at healthcare facilities and in civil populations.
- We provide information on problems with medicine use in developing countries in a national and international context.
- We strengthen medicinal and pharmaceutical competencies of students and healthcare professionals.
We believe that participatory influence and ownership is important in running sustainable projects and making it possible to keep the projects alive even after the organisation withdraws. To facilitate this, we involve both volunteers in Denmark and our local collaborators in the development, implementation and operation of the projects.
We are a professional organisation and we use our academic knowledge and skills to develop projects of high quality. It is our responsibility that our projects are as relevant and beneficial to the local population as possible.
We believe that collective commitment is an important element in working in cooperation towards a common goal.
